Onyeji and colleagues analysed 14,969 inflatable implant patients in The Journal of Urology (2017) and found men operated on by surgeons doing 0 to 2 cases a year were 2.5 times more likely (p < 0.001) to need reoperation for infection than those treated by implanters performing more than 31 cases a year:
“Patients treated by higher volume implanters are less likely to require reoperation after inflatable penile prosthesis insertion than those treated by lower volume surgeons. This trend appears to be driven by associations between surgeon volume and the risk of prosthesis infection.”

Unlike erectile prostheses, the silicone girth implant known as Himplant is designed purely for cosmetic penile enlargement and does not treat erectile dysfunction. Every step from landing to departure is planned by our international patient team.
Our coordinator meets you at the airport and transfers you to your hotel. You then see Dr. Tas for the pre-operative consultation: history review, a walk-through of the procedure, blood tests and ECG.
You are transferred to the hospital early in the morning. Surgery is performed under general or spinal anaesthesia and takes 45 to 90 minutes. After the recovery unit you move to your private room. Discomfort is usually mild and managed with prescribed medication.
Dr. Tas reviews you in the morning and, once cleared, you are discharged back to your hotel with a written aftercare plan: wound care, medication, activity limits and warning signs.
A rest day at the hotel. Light walking supports circulation, and most patients find discomfort already much reduced. Our medical team is reachable by phone or WhatsApp throughout.
You return to the clinic for follow-up: the wound is inspected, dressings removed and healing confirmed on track. Many patients depart on Day 5 with a medical clearance letter.
