Not always. Photographs are easy to stage through lighting, angle and timing. Ask whether the images come from the surgeon’s own operating room, whether the same patient appears in both frames, and whether the clinic is willing to discuss cases that needed revision. Most after photographs are taken between six weeks and three months, once swelling has fully settled and the device is in regular use. No. A penile implant restores rigidity, not length. The device is sized to your own anatomy, so the erect measurement after surgery is usually close to your best natural erection before erectile dysfunction developed. If added length is your goal, that is a separate penile enlargement procedure rather than an implant.
No. The entire device sits inside the body and nothing is visible from the outside. The pump of an inflatable implant is placed within the scrotum, and the incision is small and heals into a fine line hidden at the base of the penis or in a scrotal fold.
Modern three piece implants have a mechanical survival rate of roughly 80 percent at ten years, and many devices continue to work well beyond that. If a device does fail, it can be replaced in a straightforward revision procedure by the same surgeon.
